About this template
A free workout log: add each session and every set with its weight and reps, and Notion works out the volume, an estimated one-rep max and your best lift per exercise. Runs and walks go in the same log, with pace worked out for you.
What's inside

How it works
- 1Complete checkout and open the link in your email.
- 2Click “Duplicate” in the top-right corner of the Notion page.
- 3The template is now in your workspace. Make it yours.
Who it's for
For people who train and want to see whether it is working. Log each session and every set as you go, and the numbers you would otherwise work out on a calculator appear by themselves: how much you lifted in the session, an estimated one-rep max for every set, and your best lift on each exercise. Runs and walks go in the same log, with the pace worked out from minutes and distance.
Your first week
- 1Add the exercises you actually do, usually ten to fifteen. Each one gets a muscle group and a short form cue.
- 2Each workout, add a session, open it and log every set with the weight and reps right after you finish it.
- 3For runs and walks, fill in minutes and distance. The pace column fills itself in.
- 4Once a week, look at the last 7 days and the personal bests, and add a body log entry for weight and waist.
What it doesn't do
It does not sync with Apple Health, Garmin or Strava, so sessions go in by hand. It does not plan a programme for you either. The estimated one-rep max is a formula based on your sets, most accurate at ten reps or fewer, so read it as a trend rather than a target.
Questions
Kilograms or pounds?+
Either. The formulas do not care about the unit, as long as you use the same one throughout.
Do I have to log every set?+
No. If typing between sets is too slow, log only the top set of each exercise. The volume and personal-best numbers still work.
Does it work on the free Notion plan?+
Yes. It uses relations, rollups and formulas only, with no charts and nothing that needs a paid plan.
